Death Announcement – Board Chair Daniel Forrest

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of the Memphis Crisis Center’s Board Chair, Daniel Forrest. Daniel passed away on January 31, 2019. He was a long time call center volunteer and served twice as the MCC Board Chair. Along with his work with the MCC, Daniel was active with Tennessee Equality Project, Chaired the Freedom Co-op, and served as national Chair of The Dream Factory of Memphis, a wish granting organization for children with cancer. Daniel struggled with multiple health issues over the years, including cancer and liver failure, but he always made time to serve others. He was often quiet in his service but a powerful force for good among his friends, family and the community-at-large. We have not only lost a dear friend but our community has lost a true leader.
