It is with a heavy heart that we must relate the passing of long-time Memphis Crisis Center volunteer Ralph “Sonny” Shankman on Tuesday morning July 17. In 2006, through his persistent efforts, Sonny was instrumental in getting funding restored to the Memphis Crisis Center. If not for these efforts, we would probably not be here today.
